LARGE SCHEMES

Our largest schemes have involved projects on sites across the country as well as more local work in Berkshire.
While most of our work is within around 90 minutes from North Reading, we travel widely when the opportunity arises.
These larger projects have involved both new designs and construction and also the conversion of highly sensitive Listed buildings to new uses within a Conservation setting.

LARGE SCHEMES

Chevin Park Development, West Yorkshire

The project surrounds the development and reinstatement of the Highroyds Hospital site which had been put up for sale by the NHS. This is one of the largest Victorian hospital sites in the country, originally built as a mental health institution but one which had become redundant prior to the sale.
As architects for the scheme we were involved in obtaining planning consent for the site as a whole and have also been involved in the actual construction work which is undertaken in seven phases.
Now known as Chevin Park, the 200 acre development has a mix of uses on the site and has created a new community close to the well-known West Yorkshire town of Ilkley.
Various developers have been involved on the site, Country & Metropolitan, Persimmon Homes and most recently Ben Bailey Homes have completed the later conversion phases.
